OK, here we go, jumping into a new journey in life. Like many of you, I’ve been so thankful for these treasured years of staying at home with kids. Now that they’re all officially “in school,” I am sensing God’s leading that it’s time for “mom” to move forward into some new directions.
Took a deep breath and did what has taken me years to do. I sent in my first writing assignment, gulp. I keep repeating to myself, “I know who I am in Christ, I know what He’s put in my heart, I will not let fear or rejection stand in the way.”
Thank you to my sweet husband and kids for always believing in me, for inspiring me, for giving me the courage to fly, and lots of stories to write about. Thank you to all of YOU for encouraging through your “life” words of blessing, for reading, for sharing your own life stories with me.
So.very.grateful.
Sometimes in life, whether you’re scared or not, you just gotta take a deep breath and JUMP. No turning back! Once you do, you’re off to new places…
Remembering today, “all things are possible with God.” Mark 10:27
Keep dreaming God size dreams. He’s able to use the least likely of us to do the most amazing things through His power and grace. He’s just that kind of God. Aren’t ya glad?
Hello Debbie,
I have recently found your blog and have made it part of my morning routine. Thank you for all the encouragement and love that you send out in all your writing and how you tie in life experience with the bible and our amazing God. This post is a few years old, but speaks volumes to me today. I recently quit my job (Thank God I am in a position to do this short term financially and with a supportive husband!) and am moving towards starting my own business. All the signs point to YES for this but there are many times my fears and insecurities block me and I freeze up thinking of all the things that could go wrong instead of the excitement, joy and perfect timing for what is to come. My mantra for the next few days when the fear creeps in is to repeat to myself what you wrote above, “I know who I am in Christ, I know what He’s put in my heart, I will not let fear or rejection stand in my way…”
Thank you for the words and for your wonderful website! XO Carole
