Freedom

September 28, 2012 by Debbie Leave a Comment

Ever notice we live in a world consumed with what we look like?  We’re constantly bombarded from all directions – to feel really “successful” in life, we’re often led to believe we must look a certain way.  That pathway of thinking usually leads right to a downward spiral of guilt, inadequacy, and the comparison game – stop listening to how the world tells you to live!  It will always lead to defeat.  Be free to be who God has created YOU to be!  His truth always leads to freedom.  He uniquely and creatively designed you with purpose and significance.  There is not another you, never has been, never will!

As the years go by, I see it more clearly.  I want to instill it in our children from early on.  This simple and important truth – cultivate inner beauty.  It’s that different type of beauty, the one not so impressive to the world, but definitely more important – that one that shines from within.

Our weight, job, age, where we live, who we know, and how much $$ we make, will never define who we really are – our hearts will.

True inner beauty is lasting, deep, influential, inspiring, giving, caring, life-breathing, and reflective of the love of God Himself.

Living for the world is pressure – living for God is FREEDOM and SHINES BEAUTY FROM YOUR HEART!

“for God sees not as man sees, man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Sam.16:7”

If I could, I’d offer you a cup of coffee and would love a chance just to sit and talk, to hear your stories about life – the joys and the struggles too.

In whatever you’re facing today, my heart is that you might find some encouragement through these pages and fresh hope in God’s words ...
