He Loves You.

October 16, 2012 by Debbie Leave a Comment

God loves you.

You may have heard that more than a million times in life yet still not really believe it could apply to you in any sort of personal way.  His love may seem more distant to you,”yeah right, maybe He loves me, He loves everyone, the whole world, I’m just one of many, how could He really care about me?”

But it’s the truth, He loves…YOU.

He’s not a God who watches from a far away world, wondering if you’ll ever get your life together.  He’s not an angry God waiting to strike you down for any wrong action.  He’s not too busy with world affairs to have time for you.  He’s not waiting for you to earn extra brownie points so that just maybe He’ll love you more.

There’s nothing you could do to earn His love…or to lose it.

He seeks you out, He calls to you, He wants to spend time with you, He reaches out for you.

He enjoys you, He gets a kick out of you, He smiles over you, His favor shines on you, He likes you.

His reminders of love might enter through your day in a multitude of creative ways –

a beautiful sunrise or sunset painted across the horizon…

a colorful rainbow after a storm…

the dance of birds in flight above you…

the crispness of autumn air in the early morning hours…

the quiet sound of rustling leaves in the wind…

the sparkle in your child’s eyes…

the sweet laugh of a baby…

the closeness of a trusted pet sleeping at your feet…

a gift of a close parking spot in a crowded lot…

an encouraging word from a friend….

He gives and gives and gives.  He never grows weary.  He loves you as if you were the only one on earth to love.

Don’t ever doubt it.  Feel secure within it.  Find hope through it.  He loves you.

He simply and completely loves.

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us…”  l John 3:1

If I could, I’d offer you a cup of coffee and would love a chance just to sit and talk, to hear your stories about life – the joys and the struggles too.

In whatever you’re facing today, my heart is that you might find some encouragement through these pages and fresh hope in God’s words ...
