In the big scheme of motherhood, most of the moms I know try to make the best decisions they can for their families, and though often varied and different, we can choose to focus on what bonds us together – like loving our families, raising responsible kids, and cheering one another onward in this journey of life.
Being a great mom is not based on how clean our house is, or how messy – hello!
It’s not dependent on whether our kids go to private or public school or if we choose to homeschool.
It’s not about the organic diet, or whether we enjoy an occasional McDonald’s meal.
It’s not about how well-behaved our kids are, or how challenging.
It’s not defined by how many activities they’re in – or how few.
It’s not determined by your discipline style or whether or not you decided to breast-feed.
It’s not based on whether you’re a stay at home mom or work outside the home.
Being a mom is tough somedays, we need each other! Resist the urge to judge. Choose to encourage.
In the midst of imperfection, striving, and weariness, the truth is this – YOU are one who matters most in the lives of your kids.
