31 Verses for When You Feel Burdened and Weary

Matthew 11:28

Feeling weary? Burdened? Discouraged? Alone? Life can be full of challenges at times, but no matter what we face, we can rest assured that God is always with us. Here are 31 verses from His heart to you, just to remind you that He knows your way, He cares, and you are never alone.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

“Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.” Psalm 105:4

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

    Great timing Debbie! It will be 4 years this week since my Mom died and I had to turn 40!!! God bless you and your sweet family.

    I am currently going through a retrenchment at work and things are not going so well in my relationship… Stressful is an understatement… My situation seems hopeless and I am so tired… my heart and my mind and my body….
    I asked God for help, a sign that things will be okay… Thank you…

    I feel somewhat okay after reading this piece you hav collected…i am in a new stage of life and i nid a hand terribly but anytime i think of the source of help i feel :i av lost it all already. But thanks to u Debbie i feel fine eventhough i havnt got help

    Please pray for me. In the last year, I have lost use of my remaining kidney. I need a transplant. Because of my illness, my business has collapsed. Finances will soon be impossible. Now my wife, whom I adore, is showing strong signs that she is not going to stick with me through this illness and trying times. Please pray for me.

      I am too sick my kids have grown and gone and now my hubby and I don’t even like each other or even know each other anymore after 26 years.Money is pay period to pay period and I am constantly in pain or sick from diabetes and Rheumatoid.I will pray for you and your wife and I wish you the best…You will be fine Trust ask ask it shall be done.Head up

    This season is so painful!
    My husband of 18 years just STOPPED SHOWING ME ANY AFFECTION;it’s been 2 years since he has even hugged me! My older son moved 1800 miles away; he is Air Force! Very grateful for that!
    What can I do? I suffer in silence; week after week! With a huge lump in my throat and hole in my heart! He will NOT go to counseling; he says “ it’s all my fault”!
    I hate him for this! He is hurting me and my 16 yo son more than I could imagine! I have been praying for 16 mos EVERYDAY FOR SIGN AND OF HOPE!
    Nothing…
    Barely hanging on…

      Keep praying never stop. Even if you die still praying for a sign. We are isreal. Pray for string faith ask it in jesus’ name. Take your place in the body of Christ

    My heart feels heavy today, Im yearning for Gods presence ,my husband is also sick going on 2 years and sometimes this leaves me feeling alone and unloved. He can only focus on his illness, so this has left me feeling abandoned. I have no children or grand babies.. This also leaves me more alone. Please pray for me..I need to feel Gods peace in my heart…

    Pray for me. My ex husband has refused to sell house and my children and I are on the brink of financial ruin. A legal loan company want their money and will send bailiffs out to take mine and my childrens possessions away. I am so tired from the battle. I am weary. I have been trying to get him to sell for ten years. I left with my children because he was a controlling husband. He took away my self.

      Maddy letting you know how things have progressed. Amazingly house sold. Now I am debt free. No bailiffs threat now. I am now moving on with life. It all got better really quickly in the 11th hour and 59th minute. What have I learned; God never let me go. He had this all along! Trust in his unfailing love.
